7/21/2023 0 Comments Stalemate vs checkmate![]() ![]() This means they have to surrender right? This is my win you darn cpu! Suddenly, the game says STALEMATE.NO LEGAL MOVES LEFT. My queen was on the bottom right, right side, outside of the 3x3. My rook was in the top left, left side, outside of the 3x3. My king was to the bottom left, left side, outside the 3x3. The cpu king was in a 3x3 square with the king being in the middle. Coming up with plans and being successful. I thought maybe this is the pleasure of chess. I advanced my king, my rook and my queen. I suddenly used my brain and visualized all of the possible spaces it's king could move and came up with a plan to try and predict and trap the king so it would stop running away. I kept blindly chasing it like a noob putting it in checks and it kept escaping me. On my second game I was winning and my cpu opponent only had it's king left. I soon realized this could go on FOREVER so I pressed the "resign" button to give up because there was no way I could win against a king and a queen. During that game, the cpu had gotten the best of me and all I could do was defend against the constant checks against their queen. I lost my first game with only my king left. I had my first game today vs a cpu on club house games for switch. I only know how each piece moves and checks and promotion and king and rook.
